En 1978, Mike Sibthorp avait un studio de photographie dans le vieux manoir des studios Bray. Le superviseur des effets spéciaux Nick Allder lui demande de photographier les décors du film Alien de Ridley Scott, et il devint ainsi le photographe non-officiel de la production. Il a entre autres réalisé une série de portraits studio de l' « Alien » et de Bolaji Badejo, l'acteur nigérien qui a joué le célèbre xénomorphe de HR Giger.

In 1978, Mike Sibthorp had a photography studio in the old manor at Bray Studios. He was asked by special effects supervisor Nick Allder to photograph the sets of Ridley Scott’s Alien, becoming the “unofficial” photographer for the production. He took a series of awe inducing studio portraits of “The Alien” and Bolaji Badejo, the Nigerian the actor who played the famous xenomorph by HR Giger.
